Jennifer’s curiosity and desire to have a deeper understanding of the world led her to a degree in Philosophy from Boston College in 2000. She went on to get a Master’s of Science in Oriental Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College in 2006, which further refined her critical thinking and analysis skills. Immediately upon graduation, she began working for Snap Dynasty, then called OHCO/Oriental Herb Company. In 2013, she bought the company from founders Donn & Hannah Hayes. 

As Covid locked down our world in March 2020, Jennifer began to collect a wide-range of inexplicable, inflammatory health symptoms that most significantly impacted her nervous system and kidneys. She refused to believe that she could have gone from an active, healthy person to nearly bedridden in three months without a cause and was skeptical that she had developed an autoimmune disorder overnight. After a year of relentless question-asking she figured out that toxic mold, from an undisclosed and seemingly minor roof leak, was the root cause of her symptoms. She and her three children were diagnosed with Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome, a genetic disorder triggered by mold exposure, which has forced her to relearn how to navigate the world.
